Dear Cousin, I am writing you because I have been rather forcefully informed of political plots going on involving our country...

Roderich sighed as he reread the letter. It had been delivered to him in the middle of an afternoon nap by a messenger claiming it was frightfully important, and that it had been rushed to him as fast as possible by the order of his cousin Ludwig. Thus, Roderich was sitting in the audience room with his hair lying flat and his shirt half-buttoned. He was already distinctly annoyed, but at least Ludwig had something useful to tell him.

He sighed again, and snapped his fingers at a nearby guard. 'Listen- I'm apparently needed elsewhere. I probably shouldn't take an escort-' he grimaced at the thought of travelling by himself, but it had to be done- 'but I want my necessities packed. Go and tell someone to do it, wiil you?'

As the guard bowed and hurried off, Roderich leaned back in his chair, stifling a yawn. Gilbert...the letter mentioned him, but didn't specify whether he was currently with Ludwig. Roderich rather hoped he wasn't. Deep down- very deep down- he didn't dislike his cousin, but he could do without another barrel incident.
