The girl Feliciano was singing to had a warm and kind smile on her face, and blushed slightly at his attentions. He bowed to her as soon as he finished the song, and some customers applauded at his small performance, amused but also happy with the music. He bowed to them too, turning towards the tables, and noticing that the food was already being served.
In the meanwhile, the maid had finished her work, and she excused herself with a shy smile.

Feliciano went back to the table, noticing that although it was filled with food, his companions were still looking at the guy sitting at the counter.
He had to pass next to him to reach the others, and although the man was intimidating, he looked at him with curiosity, wondering why everyone was staring at him. And finally he noticed the small creature in the plate. He just had to go closer to see it better.

"Sir, this is so cute! What is it?" although the animal looked a bit like a snake, it was undeniably cute, with those little legs and thin tail.

Ludwig watched as Feliciano approached the light-haired man in the tavern. He hoped that the small man didn't get himself killed. That would be disastrous. Instinctively protective, not to mention feeling a little less reserved thanks to the amount of beer he'd managed to down while the rest at the table were gaping at the other man.

Ludwig stood and walked over to Feliciano to ensure that the man didn't get hurt by the man Toris had called Ivan.

Ivan jumped and looked at the small man then at the dragon who had settled back on the plate. He gaped for a few moments then closed his mouth. So much for being discrete.

"S-She is just a lizard....a normal lizard...ahaha....but she bites....a lot...." He laughed nervously and placed his hand over the dragons back to hide its wings. This was not good....not good at all...The last humans to own Dragons had disappeared years before and those who had tried, died. It was a well know fact that Dragons and Humans didn't get along.

Ivan eyed the large blond nervously and nudged his pet closer. She was well behaved now, as well feed as she was, but like her pet master, she got antsy under such scrutiny, but unlike her pet master, she shot fire in people faces.

As they glanced at the man who was looking nervously back at them in return, Matthew wondered if there was a way to break the—oh. He watched as Feliciano, who had just returned to the table, walk up and talk to the much taller man like it was nothing. Even though Toris apparently knew Ivan, Matthew was still unsure about the man and could only hope that Feliciano would be fine.

Matthew remembered how hungry he was and looked at the table covered in food. Figuring that if he was to pay for this he might as well have some, he took some. Although he didn’t react well to alcohol, he tried some of the beer as well; this region was famous for it, after all. As long as it was in moderation, Matthew wouldn’t have any problems.

Every now and then, he glanced up at Feliciano, Ludwig and Ivan, still a bit worried.

Feliciano had already moved his hand towards the animal, but he stopped in time as he heard the words of the other man.

"Oh, really? Well, some animals like biting me anyway..." he hid the hand in his pocket, but kept staring at the animal.
A lizard, eh? He had seen tons of lizards, but this was definitely different. It was not only the fact that the animal was bigger than any other lizard he had ever seen (although after the Griffin stuff, he didn't find difficult to know that there could be huge lizards running around in those woods) - it was its gaze. Definitely a gaze that was way too intelligent and cunning, for a lizard.
    "What's its name?"
He liked animals, anyway, even if his own experience didn't go further than cats, dog and horses. He had never thought of a lizard as pet, but why not?

He looked up at Ludwig, who had left the table to reach them, with an expression - Feliciano guessed - that meant that he was ready to fight.
"It's alright, I'm okay~" he waved at him, to show that nothing had happened.

Ludwig put his hand on Feliciano's shoulder. "I know you are, but I think this man might prefer to have his dinner alone with his... pet." Ludwig knew better than to think it was a lizard. It was a dragon, no doubt about it.

He looked to Ivan, keeping his distance from the creature. "I hope we haven't frightened it." He knew that a frightened dragon, even one this small was not a good thing.

He squeezed Feliciano's shoulder, wishing he could convey to him silently that this was no ordinary lizard.

The dragon stuck her neck out as far as it would go to try and nip at the new humans fingers. She was disappointed when the hand disappeared and dropped her head onto the table. She turned a eye popping shade of electric blue hoping to lure the human back with her wonderful colour. Who could resist her?

"Her name is Sretya and no, she is not frightened...." Ivan frowned as his pet changed from a normal green color to an eye watering blue. He had told her about doing such things....it would give her away in an instant if these two knew anything at all about dragons. He should have left her in that birds nest.

It was unbelievable, Feliciano nonchalantly approached that huge guy, how did Toris call him again? Ivan.
But that man proved himself to be quite an able pacifist, maybe he wasn't bad at all?

So here he was, watching them while eating from Matthew's plate. His stare however was fixated on that dragon, he really wanted one. He wondered, was it able to grow? He wanted a big dragon of course, with large wings, which were able to carry him up there in the sky, above all rooftops and mountains. So maybe...he should also address that guy? Maybe he was willing to sell it?

"Come on, Feliciano, why don't we leave him and his... pet?" Ludwig asked as he noticed the color change. "The food is at the table. You wanted real food, didn't you?"

He slid his hand down to Feliciano's arm and gave it a gentle tug. He wanted the other man to realize that he really needed to get away now, for his own safety if for nothing else. "There is wine and food and beer back at the table."

Feliciano stared at the color change in total fascination. The scales were bright and iridescent, and that blues color was just so beautiful that he thought he could keep looking at it for... he felt Ludwig's grip on his arm, and his voice in his hear - totally missing the sense of urge in his tone, though - trying to convince him to go back at the table.

Ah, right, it was what he was going to do before stopping there. Food and wine. He looked back at Ludwig, smiling.
"Oh, sure. I'm really hungry~" he was for real, and the scent coming from their table was really promising.

He glanced again at the strange lizard, thinking that he surely had never seen anything like that before. He wondered how many amazing animals were still hidden in those unknown and foreign places.

The dragon squawked and wiggled out from under her master hand. She scuttled across the bar and squawked at the brunette. Why was he leaving? Wasn't she pretty enough? She changed from blue to green then to yellow spreading her wings elegantly.

Ivan looked around the tavern as saw that most of the patrons attention was focused on his darling pet. He twitched and made a grab at the dragon who danced out of the way and cooed at him! Cooed!

"Получите назад здесь вам тупоумную отговорку для ящерицы! Вы причиняете тревогу! Вы хотите пойти назад к тому гнездю?! Я положу вас там!" He hissed and made another grab for the thing. And missed. The dragon fluttered on top of her masters head and and crooned sweetly.

    "Я ненавижу вас....."

Get back here you stupid excuse for a lizard! You are causing trouble! Do you want to go back to that nest?! I will put you there!

    I hate you

Matthew grew less worried after a while as the two seemed fine and the man named Ivan seemed nice enough. Still, he couldn’t blame Ludwig for wanting to leave; dragons could be pretty unpredictable creatures after all. Speaking of which, Ivan seemed to be having some difficulty controlling his own.

At some point or another Matthew noticed the food on his plate was disappearing quickly…too quickly. He stopped for a moment and noticed that Alfred was taking food off of his plate. He rolled his eyes. Honestly? If he wanted his own plate, all he had to do was ask. Matthew turned to his brother, noticing that Alfred’s eyes were still fixed on that dragon.

“Still think you can handle one of those, eh?” he asked, pointing to the creature now poised on top of the taller man’s head.

Ludwig almost sighed in relief as Feliciano was back over at their table. "That was a dragon," he whispered in the brunet's ear. "It could easily have bitten you. Be careful of them. They will do just about anything to get what they want, and from the looks of it, what it wanted were your fingers." He gave Feliciano's fingers a squeeze for emphasis before sitting down at the table. He realized he would have to cut himself off at three beers if he didn't want to impair his abilities should something happen with the big man and his dragon.

That disappointed him. He'd really wanted to enjoy his beer today.

"...oh." he couldn't help laughing nervously as the other squeezed his hand.
He looked back at the animal, perched on the head of the tall guy. Now Feliciano could see the wings, the skin of a bright yellow as the rest of its body. Ok, it didn't look like a lizard at all.

"Yeah, well, I thought it looked strange for a lizard, but I also thought dragons were bigger..." he answered, keeping his voice low as well.

The dragon was still staring at him, and he couldn't help waving back at the small animal - it looked beautiful, and in the end it hadn't bitten him, anyway.

He sat down, tasting the food. Everything was definitely good, the flavor sometimes a bit strong for his taste, but he ate with much pleasure, glancing to his other companions and to the dragon from time to time.

Getting back to the table, the blond prince made sure to tell everyone not to worry about the food. "If you want to chip in on the meal, give me two gold pieces for it. I ordered more than enough for everyone to be safe, and it isn't fair if everyone pays an even share, since I placed the order." Ludwig simply couldn't stand waiting any longer for everyone else. Admittedly, there were dishes there that were five gold or more, but he wasn't worried about it. He had more than enough on him and there was a bank in town he could access to get more. He didn't use his influence often, but on occasion, drawing from the royal fund was handy.

"I think it's a baby dragon," he said quietly to Feliciano, whispering in his ear. Oh, it was dangerous, he knew, getting this close to the small prince, but he couldn't help it. He wanted to, even if it made him turn a few shades of pink in the process.

"Oh, I already said I would pay for the food..." Feliciano glanced over at the table. Ludwig had ordered a lot of stuff indeed, and he hoped he had money enough. Still, the other had already paid for the rooms, and Feliciano really wanted to contribute.
He was used to spend a lot in expensive food, at home, and normally he wouldn't be scared of the bill after a lunch for five people, but when he had to leave home - he was almost forced to, that is - he hadn't so much money with him, and he already had to spend some in the way to the Rhynland.

"A baby dragon, eh? It really looks cute." he commented, still staring at the animal. He turned to discover Ludwig's face close to him. He smiled, suddenly a bit nervous for some reason. Had to be the fact that he was so close to a dragon without even realizing it.
He took the first glass his had encountered on the table and drank. That was beer. And it was strong.

The dragon trilled and scuttled down her masters arm. That man had ignored her and she didn't like to be ignored. He was supposed to come back. He was supposed to pet her and let her nibble his fingers. That is how this whole encounter was supposed to play out. She hopped off the bar and wove in and out of peoples legs. She slunk under the table and stopped in front of the mans foot. She looked back and saw her master wading through the sea of people towards her. She acted quickly and crawled up the mans leg and into his lap stocking her head over the table and snagging the closest piece of food and scarfing it down, looking adorable all the while.

Ludwig looked down at the Dragon. "I know what you're doing. If you want food, eat what's on the table, not fingers," he said to the animal. He looked to Feliciano. "Keep your fingers away."

He glanced at Alfred, seriously doubting that man could actually handle a dragon.

Matthew had been caught by surprise when all of a sudden he saw the dragon pop up near Feliciano and grab something off of the table. But before he could react to this sudden occurrence, Alfred had him by the arm, exclaiming how he wanted the creature.

“Hey, let go of my arm and stop acting like a child,” Matthew demanded, managing to wrench his arm away. His brother’s grip could be ridiculously strong if he wasn’t careful, but Matthew had lucked out.

He looked at the dragon curiously, figuring that since the creature was here, its master couldn’t be far behind. Sure enough, when Matthew looked up, he saw the tall man making his way through the crowded in to retrieve his dragon.

Feliciano almost choked in his glass of beer as he felt something running fast over his leg and lap. The head of the dragon popped out and stole a piece of food from one of the plates.
Although he knew it was a dragon, now, and therefore was justified to run out of the inn screaming, Feliciano felt gain the urge of stroking the creature on its small head. But he hadn't forgotten Ludwig's words - and the squeeze of hand - and the other prince promptly underlined the concept again, just in case.

He kept his hands down - but still, the dragon was on his lap, and it surely had a lot to bite, if it wanted - smiling both at the creature and the warrior.
"It's fine, it must be really hungry, poor thing."
Noticing the tall man coming to their table, he wondered if its master fed it enough. Because, in the latter case, the possibility oh his fingers or other parts of his body being bitten was surely high enough.

He let go of his brother's arm and smiled at him apologetically. "Sorry Matt."
He hoped he hadn't gripped too hard, didn't want his twin hurt after all. But soon enough his gaze shot back to the tiny dragon sitting on Feliciano's lap.

"H-hand him to me, Feli?" He asked with a husky voice, face flushed.

"Touch her and I vill flay the skin from your hands." Ivan stopped beside the prince and glared at the seemingly aroused idiot. Who did he think he was, trying to steal his dragon. He looked down at the small prince and smiled what he hoped was a kind smile.

"I am sorry for my pets behavior. She is rather vain and has a affinity for beef. She vill eat as much as she can if it is available. I vill pay for anything she has eaten of course." He clicked his tongue and the lizard crawled out of the mans lap and sat on the table, look up her her master and looking all the world like an innocent child. Ivan scoffed and flicked the dragons snout causing the creature to trill in a hurt fashion. He glared and she turned white and laid down, smoke curling lazily from her nostrils and mouth in annoyance.

"I'm not sure I can handle it to anyone..." Feliciano replied to Alfred, who seemed really eager to touch the dragon.
Anyway, as the tall boy came and spoke to the blonde, Feliciano decided that he could be as dangerous as the animal itself.

"No no, it's alright, she didn't do anything wrong, she only took a bite of it... no problem!" he assured, watching a bit worried how the other flicked the dragon. It didn't seem particularly bad, but the animal looked hurt and angry. As he saw the animal steaming, then, he wondered if he should really leave the table for somewhere safer.

Arthur opened the door to the tavern, making sure his cloak was completely hiding him from view, then walked in looking around the noisy, crowded room. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea, but thought otherwise and decided to get a drink, best to not cause attention to himself! But then his attention was then immediately drawn to the group who were seemingly arguing over a dragon.

After quietly ordering a drink, he looked back to the group, he could tell two of them were from his own country!
