Cafeteria

Chibitalia was wandering through the school until he found the cafeteria. His stomach was growling and it seemed like he was in search of pasta so he explored the cafeteria to see if there was any around. After searching for over ten minutes and quickly got bored. He searched for somewhere to sleep because he was feeling a bit tired from wandering around the big school campus. Once he decided that where he was going to sleep he curled up on one of the chairs that were at one of the tables and fell asleep quickly. He still hadn't eaten anything.

Chibitalia woke up a while afterwords and looked around and saw no one. He explored the cafeteria a bit more and somehow managed to end up in the kitchen area..He decided do take a look at the cooking supplies in the cupboards and seemed somewhat disappointed in the items but decided he could make something with them at least. He started to boil some water and went to go look for ingredients for pasta. After he found everything he had needed he checked the water. He placed the noodles in the water carefully and started to cook the pasta sauce while the noodles were cooking. A while later the pasta was finished cooking and Chibitalia cleaned the dishes and put away the supplies he used to make it he finally sat down to to eat the pasta that he placed in front of himself. After he finished his pasta he cleaned his plate and put it away and went back to sleep on the same chair he slept on before. This time his stomach finally satisfied...

They were wandering aimlessly in the corridors until they had found a sign indicating the direction of the cafeteria. Going there to check it out had seemed the most natural thing to do - cafeterias were definitely the most important part of schools, weren't they?
It probably wasn't open yet (there was still time until dinner), but having a look wouldn't hurt. Just to check if pasta and pizza were on the menu, at least.

"Ve, here we are!" Feliciano said, pointing at the white double doors with small square portholes. He peered through one of them, looking inside. "Nobody in sight."
He pushed slightly the door, and it moved. "Seems like it's open, though." he commented, still uncertain about whether going inside or not.

The cafeteria wasn't that difficult to get to-which was always a good thing to know. Then again, what kind of dumb person would build a cafeteria that no one could find? Idiots would starve and they'd end up having to the shut place down.
He watched with mild interest as Feliciano checked it out. He blinked in surprise at the others statement. "What? that can't be right...." he looked through the window on the other door and, sure enough, the place was deserted.

"Well, don't just stand there, go in!" Lovino rolled his eyes, accompanying his words with a slight push to get his sibling through the doors.
He surveyed the large room for a moment, breathing a silent sigh of relief when no one popped out to yell at them yell at them for being there. "well, the lights are on-someone had to be here recently, right?"

Chibitalia groaned at the sound of voices and rubbed his eyes. He attempted to roll over, but the chair was too small and he fell off hitting his head and passing out.

"Sì..." he sniffed the air a bit, sensing the familiar although faint scent of tomato sauce. "And someone has just cooked pasta!" he stated all happy, relieved to see that his favorite food was available there.

He was considering how the place looked so clean and empty when he heard the sound of something - something heavy - falling on the ground. He turned his head in time to see one of the chairs move all of a sudden.

Feliciano startled and jumped behind his brother screaming, almost stumbling in Lovino's legs, trying to hide behind his back or use his body as shield against the monster that could possibly appear from under one of the tables.

"T-THE CHAIR! IT MOOOOOOOVED!" he cried directly in Lovino's hears "T-TERE'S A GHOST HERE!"

"What are you talking about, why would someone have made..." He gave the air an experimental sniff. Sure enough there was the tell-tale smell of pasta. "The hell...?" who would be running around this time of afternoon cooking?

Lovino supposed it could have been the cleaning staff...but then again, what reason would they have to come and cook? He was still debating this when he heard a faint 'thud' from somewhere in the room.

He looked up just in time to to avoid tripping over his brother. He turned to give his sibling an annoyed look, clapping his hands over his ears. "AGH, ARE YOU TRYING TO BREAK MY EAR DRUMS YOU TWIT?!"

He swallowed, not that he was scared or anything of course, and looked at the chair in question. It was definitely (thankfully) not moving. "Y-you idiot, t-there's no such things as ghosts".

"B-but I saw it moving!"
Feliciano peered out from behind Lovino's shoulder. The chair wasn't moving anymore, but he was sure he hadn't dreamt it. Anyway, it was a bit further from the table than the other chairs, so it had moved.

"A-and anyway, you heard the noise. There is something... or someone else in this room..." he shivered, retreating slowly towards the entrance and pushing his brother to come with him.

"You're imagining things Feliciano..." He cast another suspicious look at the chair just in case. Someone had probably just moved it to sit on and forgot to put it back, that had to be it, his brother was just letting his mind run away with him.Right.

He rolled his eyes stopping where he was. "Its just a pot or something falling, quit being such a scaredy-cat" He grabbed his am and started dragging him in the direction of the chair. "Theres nothing there, I'll show you"

Feliciano tried to resist his brother, but Lovino's grasp was too strong.

"...Why don't we just go away, eh? Even if it's something that fell down and broke, they're going to blame us for it because we were here and... uh, don't go theeeere..." he ranted, his voice becoming a squeak of terror as they went closer to the table.

There was something under it, something that looked terribly like a human hand. Oh, GOD! A dead ghost?!

Lovino rolled his eyes, ignoring his sibling babbling as he stopped in front of the chair. "See, nothing there"

He was a bit irritated when Feliciano didn't bother to voice any kind of confirmation to this and turned to point at the chair and better make his point. That didn't go quite as planned...was that a small child?!...it was. "HYAAAAA! THERE'S A DEAD BODY! FUCK!"

He grabbed his siblings arm again and began hightailing back towards the door.

Feliciano was dragged a step closer and saw what was attached to the small hand he had noticed. A body, indeed, but a child's body...

"W-wait a moment, fratello!" he said, as he was dragged along back to the door "...do you think it's dead? We should go ask for help!"
He still had no desire to get close to the body again, but... they surely had to tell someone.

Lovino stopped, squinting at the body and shrugging "I don't know-is it breathing?" He couldn't tell, and he didn't have the urge to go back and check.

"Well of course we have to go get help!" He exclaimed-really, that should have been obvious. "There's some one running around kidnapping and killng little kids, we can't just let the bastard run around the school!" But he'd e damned if he was looking for the person himself, finding out wheter they were interested in turing into a serial killer was not on his to do list.

Ludwig walked into the cafeteria. It seemed a little slow for breakfast, but classes had yet to start.

"Well, I suppose we should head to the line, or at least where the line would be if there were one."

He walked to the front of the cafeteria, making sure that Roderich was following him. He took a few quick glances for his brother. He had to admit he was grateful not to see him.

Roderich followed, unconsciously touching his wrist, where Ludwig's hand had been.

'It's dead in here...' He was glad it was so empty; he wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea of a crowded cafeteria. He followed Ludwig slowly, glancing around. 'I suppose it'll be coffee from a machine, as opposed to a nice caffe viennoise, mm?' He smiled, less than pleased with the idea, but willing to put up with it.

Ludwig nodded. "And from the look of it, egg substitute instead of the genuine article. Though the potatoes actually look decent." He chuckled to himself. "No comments about my German heritage and my love for anything potato."

He stretched and went to get in the line. "I have a fairly big appetite, so I'll prepare you now."

'Mmhm.' Roderich joined him, looking apprehensively at what was on offer. 'I think I'll stick to toast...I can't eat much in the mornings.'

In fact, he would have preferred something sweet; Austrians had a habit of eating dessert for dinner, and his parents were no exception. He resigned himself to merely overloading his coffee with sugar.


(Since Lovi, Feli and Chibi are still technically around the cafeteria, do you want to interact with them somehow?)

Ludwig nodded and began piling his plate full of sausage and potatoes, as well as a bit of the "eggs." He looked around the counter. "They have some jelly. That should help to sweeten things up for you. They might even have some cinnamon sugar you could sprinkle on your toast."

He held out a few packs of the jelly, a mix of strawberry and grape packets.

Once again, he felt his cell phone going off and he pulled it out while handing the cafeteria worker his student ID. There was no doubting this was one of the girls Gilbert had had some trouble with in the past. Which meant Ludwig would find himself in the middle of it soon enough.

"I'm in the caf at school. Eating breakfast."

'Thank you,' Roderich said, accepting the packets as he helped himself to toast and fished around for his ID. He briefly wondered how Ludwig had known what he was thinking, when the other man's phone went off.

'Your brother again?' he asked, as he got his coffee; with plenty of sugar, naturally.

He smiled. "You said your family was Austrian. I knew a number when we lived in Germany who only ate sweets t breakfast."

He headed for a table in the corner of the room. "And yeah. My brother. Guess he couldn't deal with the owner of the pub."

Gilbert entered the lunchroom and looked around. He wasn't hungry at all, his appetite having left him the moment he saw Elise at the pub. He looked at his watch realizing he hadn't actually eaten anything for nearly a full day. He groaned--he'd given the bulk of his cash to the young man at the pub. Matthew? He was proud of himself for remembering.

Gilbert needed to get a job, and fast.

He finally spotted his brother Ludwig and Roddy with him. He walked over to the small corner table and sat on the end, intentionally taking the seat closest to his brother.

He sigh heavily as he sat down and put his head on the table top with a light smack.

"Brother? You remember how I used to get tension headaches from that woman when we were children?" He grumbled as his nose made a slight squeak sound from scooting against the slick table's surface.

'Oh, good morning, Gilbert,' Roderich said, slightly surprised; he hadn't noticed the man approach until he was at the table. He glanced at Ludwig, wondering how he would react to his brother's sudden appearance.

Ludwig sat down at the table and looked at Gilbert. "I remember. Didn't you do some sort of dance or something when we moved to Germany and got away from her?" He sat down and began digging into his potatoes and eggs. "You know you can use your student ID to get food. It's part of our room and board."

He took a bite of the potatoes. "These actually are pretty good." He looked at the eggs, which he thought were still a bit questionable.

He stretched his legs beneath the table.

"Yeah I called it the 'Long Gone Elise Dance' and it involved many happy leaps." He sat back up and looked at his brother. Student I.D. eh? Yeah he'd forgotten. He pulled out his wallet and fished for the small card.

"How did you know I was hungry?"
