Love Shuffle, the game

Francis came up with a game we can play. It's based on a Japanese drama he watched last year by the same name.

This is what happens:

a) We get a group of 8 willing people.
b) Your character gets to date another character in that group for a whole week.

It's not a swinger's club because the question of sex is left to the individual characters. What you do during that week is up to both characters. During those 7 weeks each character gets to date the other 7. This is a good chance to have your dream OTP while still keeping your husband/boyfriend/fiance.

Here are the rules so far:

1) Once you say yes the game starts, you can't back out. Unless for emergencies.

2) You can have to use the cbox or the forum. Usage of the cbox is optional but remember that established pairings may not like to see their partner doing the vertical mambo with somebody else or getting lovey-dovey in front of them. Be mindful of Chibi when in the cbox. Don't wanna have to send him to a therapist. ^^;;

3) This game has no bearing on the established relationships outside the game. TurGre anyone? YES!

4) Sex must be consensual.

We can have more players if there are more people willing to do it but I'll leave that up to Francis. He's the mastermind after all.

Arthur is not allowed to play. He's been vetoed by Francis. Ask Al about that. Francis was only joking. *eye roll*

So far these are the characters who have agreed:

- Francis
- Alfred
- Ivan
- Roderich
- Arthur

One last thing, I'm the messenger. Don't shoot me.

Edit: Lovi and I are not playing unless somebody is very hard up about us joining. =^.^=

Edit 2: I'm whipped. I guess I'll be playing. Lovi is still out. ^^;;

What happens if a character breaks the rules? Being IC, that is, not the case of a player not showing up to play this anymore etc. So like: one of the characters gets really jealous over his boyfriend and beats the character who's dating him or something. (I'm not suggesting violence, just asking XD)

I would say if there's any chance of that happening don't join the game. Some people may want drama but if it's a jealousy rage kind of fight, better stay away. A fight like that could impact the RPers and not just the charas.

I want to emphasize that the game has no impact at all on established relationships. It's like the school and mafia AUs where Ludwig is with Roddy in one and Feli in the other. I don't believe that either RP impacts the separate RP Ludwig and Feli have. Love Shuffle works the same way.

Yup, I asked to establish a general rule in case something like this would happen in the play. (I don't think anyone wants to join having in mind to cause big dramas, but you never know what can happen *is a law student and wants to have a rule for every possibility*)

Also, I'm pretty clear about the fact that it doesn't impact the ongoing plots, my question was more focused on the possibility that this can happen inside the play itself, also disregarding all the preexisting pairings.

My thoughts on that is that... I'm a bit... doubtful that it could happen, because we start off the game with no beginning relationships with the other players, because that would be the most ideal scenario. So, unless a character develops feelings for one of his weekly partners, which I highly doubt would happen, I don't think it would be so strong that the character would fly into a rage of jealousy. Maybe go into a babbling rant, but nothing too severe, I believe.

I could totes ask this in the chat, but I feel like making a proper comment. XD What's the setting? I'm assuming AU since the canonverse has pre-established relationships, but what kind? Soapy daytime drama style of thing? 8D

Srsly, I see it more as a "two people, one room, no way out" until the week is up. You can boink to your heart's content or you can sip tea and eat scones. Or play Wii. Or talk about gardening tips. Or learn to make pasta. I believe the setting and what you do with your characters is really up to the RPers.

Actually, I think doing a week with Ivan would be hilarious. But yeah, whatever, a different setting each time would be fun.
