Deciding that, yes, it would be best to get out of there and feeling the odd feeling of a shield charm upon the group, Arthur nodded a quick thanks to the man atop the other dragon and started wondering how best to get an unconscious man on the top of a dragon.

He looked the dragon straight in the eye. "Look, I need your help getting your master up. So please be helpful!" His gaze never moves away, to look away from a dragon would mean you were afraid of it. The noise the dragon made almost sounded like a snort, but it lowered it's wing to help lift its master up. Arthur did his best to quickly to move Alfred, but he never counted on one thing.... "Heavy bugger, isn't he?" The dragon growled, as if offended. "I do apologise, but help would be nice!"

The room around him was chaos, the other dragon and its owner were dealing with the guards, Feliciano was safely with Ludwig and hopefully leaving and Matthew was making his way to other griffin. Here he was, arguing with a dragon. He thought of using magic to get Alfred up, but the dragon had other ideas and quickly managed to maneuver its master onto its back, then looked at him with doubt. "This isn't the time, I promise, I mean neither of you any harm" He yelled quickly, a little irritated. He didn't know why, but the dragon lowered its wing and let him climb up. He sat behind Alfred, making sure he didn't fall.

Before the dragon left the castle, he shouted to the others in the room. "Don't hang around, get out.. QUICKLY!"

Deciding his brother had the right idea, Gilbert suddenly transformed into his griffin form. White feathers seemed to explode from his smaller human body.

The lithe muscles tightened as he nerves kicked in. He felt more instinctual in this form. He glanced about the space, catching blond hair in his view. Gilbert wasted no time.

Before the young human could fully make his way to the albino griffin, Gilbert managed to grab Matthew's shirt in his beak, and hauled the other male onto his back. With a swift kick, he ran at the window. His wings spread as he leapt through, and he caught himself on a breeze.

"You alright back there?" He could feel Matthew clutching him and hoped he hadn't scared the human too much.

With Feliciano safely on his back, Ludwig took off for the sky above. With a jump upward, he headed for the window. He did his very best to make sure that he wasn't going to lose the prince as he flew.

He could tell that Feliciano's grip on his body was not as tight as it was the last time they'd flown together, but he felt like he was holding on more closely. He could still feel the other man's mind in the back of his own, but not quite as strongly as before.

"How are you feeling, Feliciano? Do you think you can make it back to the castle, or should we plan to make camp somewhere closer?"

Feliciano held his breath as the griffin jumped and took off, while his grip around Ludwig's neck tightened. He kept his eyes closed, and turned only once to look back at the castle that had been his prison - overall, it had been just a short amount of time, probably, but it felt like days to the prince (and, surely, he had been scared enough to cover for at least a couple of months).

He was surprised to discover that the castle was already small, behind them. They were now flying through the tunnel, and Feliciano couldn't wait to see the sky again. The good thing was that nobody seemed to be following them.

"I don't care, as long as we reach somewhere safe." he replied quickly. His whole body was still aching (even though in a tolerable way, now) and he was feeling sick - and it wasn't Ludwig's fault, he guessed - but he could resist until they were far away from that place of horror. Or, at least, he hoped he could.
He tightened his grip again, to show Ludwig - and himself - that he could do it. He realized it wasn't very persuasive, no to him, at least.
"...and as long as we reach it quickly..." he added.

Matthew was so concentrated on fleeing from the sudden rush of soldiers that he had at first thought that the sharp tug he felt meant that he’d been too slow. Yet feeling the strong gush of wind in his face after suddenly being tossed about hadn’t exactly given him the opportunity for more speculation.

It a moment for him to grasp that he had ended up on Gilbert’s back and a moment longer for him to realize how tightly he was holding on to the griffin after he had asked how he was faring. Not wanting to annoy the other or impede his flying even slightly, Matthew immediately loosened his grip before answering.

“I’m fine, that just surprised me a little.” Well, more than just a little, but it was a small price to pay for not getting killed. He looked around for the others, hoping that they were all okay and wishing that his eyes could adjust more easily to the rushing wind.

Rebekkah rose with one swing of her powerful wings, whirled up the battle dust and headed straight through the crashed window. She soared elegantly, making sure that her master was well on her back. Having someone else beside her master that she had to carry wasn't exactly pleasant for her, moreover it hurt her pride. But her master was hurt.

The headwind hit Alfred's face and that made him stir. He groaned and rolled to his side, pressing his palm against his eyes to cover them from the light.

They were now flying through the cave to the outside world again, thankfully. The king knew for certain that the one who had wanted Alfred and Feliciano would come after them, so where was best to go? The destination wasn’t of great importance right now, all that mattered was getting everyone out safely. He had seen the griffins take off, with Matthew and Feliciano with them, that was good. Now the only concern was a safe place to go, and what to do with Alfred once they got there.

With the magic of this cave affecting him again, and the headwind hitting him, Arthur had to block his face with his cloak. Then he froze, as he heard a groan, it certainly wasn’t him and that meant only one thing. Wide eyed, he looked to the man stirring awake, “Alfred, damn it, you shouldn’t be waking up yet!" He said, shock that the magic had failed so quickly. This could get dangerous.

"I think it will take too long to get you back to the castle. We will have to make camp." Ludwig didn't know if his brother, Alfred or Arthur would have any camping supplies, but he knew he, Feliciano and Matthew should still be carrying their own.

"Just hold on tight," he told Feliciano. "I'm going to bring us down for a landing once I think we are far enough away from the caves and I see an area we can fortify for the night."

((I guess I'll start a new thread then))

"Just hold on human, you are going fine."

Gilbert once again felt elated at the fact he had a passenger. They seemed to be in the clear for now.
