Week 1: Hendrik / Søren

Soren felt himself blush a little, but wrote it off as a side-effect of the alcohol. He finished his pint with a couple of long swigs.

"So we seem to have a sweet deal. I come and tend flowers with you, and you come to Christiania with me. Sounds perfect to me!"

He grinned, and ordered more beer.

He felt himself smile as he saw the danish man blush, He finished off his beer with a long swig.

" ja het seems dat we do, het will be fun ja? " he ordered himself another beer as well.

"Very fun! I'm sure of it! You've proven to be a very interesting person to be arouond with. I'll be pleased to spend more time with you."

Soren took a swig of his second beer, and smiled.

"Haven't got high for a while. What stuff do you use?"

Hendrik couldn't help himself and blushed " interisting u say? "ne nodded to the other man " Ja het would be mijn pleasure aan spend more time with u "

He took a long swig from his second beer and smirked.

" I got niets but the best cannabis " he laughed

Soren nodded and smiled at Hendrik.

"That's good to hear! Usually people I find interesting find me annoying! But I guess I've earned my reputation."

Soren laughed, and took a swig of his beer.

"The best, you say? I've no doubts about that! Sounds good. I do anything, since I can't get my hands on anything specific most of the time."

Hendrik couldn't help him self and laughed " annoying u say? usually het is the other way around for me, zij find me annoying because I am aan quiet " he took another swig from his beer.

he chuckled again " om het even wat u can get uw hands on u say? I can get whatever u need " he took another swig from his beer.

and I'm the talkative one. I guess it sort of fits, I talk and you listen!"

Soren paused, as if to think, and took a sip of his beer.

"Well, I guess I found a good dealer!" Soren laughed, "I'd be grageful if you could, we've been in a difficult spot lately as Danish officials are starting to get a little concerned of our drug usage."

Hendrik nodded " wij make good pair den ja? " he chuckled and took another swig from his beer.

" ja I guess u did " he smiled then frowned slightly " zij are? in Nederlands we do not have aan worry about dat too much as long as we do niets do het where wij are niets suppose aan wij are left alone "

Soren laughed, and blushed again, possibly a little deeper than before. He took a thoughtful sip of his beer.

"I guess so. At least there aren't any akward quiet moments! I hate those, they usually maksaa me say something, and people think I'm somehow unintelligent. Sure, I aint the brightest moomin in the valley, but I'm not stupid!"

He took a swig of his beer.

"Yeah, they've been paying far too much interest lately, but I hope it'll die downeventually. It's not like they've cared much before! Must be some sort of 'let's be all nice and clean and whatshit nice tourist country'. it's not like we get much tourists in Christiania anyway. More like Danes from out of Kobenhavn."

Hendrik just smiled at Søren's blush as he took a swig from his beer.

" ja dat is good, hoewel I do niet dink u could say anything stupid in akward moment dat would make u seem unintelligent " he chuckled " I have been guiltly of het aan "

He took another swig from his beer.

" ahh perhaps dat is what zij wish? nice and clean tourist country ja " he looked at his beer for a second " Nederland is more or less tourist country just for our lax law on drugs and tourist love ons tulip's fields "

Søren laughed again and shook his head.

"I've said more than enough of stupid things, wether the moments are akward or not! But I guess the best of us do from time to time. It's just difficult to sound intelligent when it just comes out boring. Over-intelligent people are boring company."

Søren took a swig of his beer, and leaned a little closer to Hendrik conspiratorially.

"A lot of people here act intelligent, and they are a pain in the ass until they're drunk enough!" the Dane whispered, and took another swig of his beer. He grinned at Hendrik. "Just don't go telling them that!"

Søren sighed, and drank more.

"A nice and clean tourist country. I think Danmark fits that description nicely, no matter what happens in Christiania. It's not like it's a dangerous place, is it? Just a living space for people who don't exactly fit the mass population, eh? But we'll just hide our stuff when inspectors come round. Those idiots come with their uniforms on! And we got tourist attractions to keep them tourists away, like the Lilla Havfrue and Tivoli and Strøget."

Hendrik nodded in agreement " ja dit het true but so far u haven't said om het even wat dat isn't stupid so do not short uw aan much Søren " he smiled warmly at the other man.

he was partly through his swig when Søren lean in closer to him and as a response he himself lean in closer to Søren "ja ja u are right on dat " he chuckled " i promise I won't tell "

" ah nr I wouldn't take Denemarken for a dangerous place. just a living place u say? perhaps u are right lots of places in Nederland like dat aan " he finished off his beer " ja dat would be good idea to hide het when zij come since zij don't sound aan bright " he chuckles " tourist attractions work quiet well "he nodded to the bartender and ordered another beer.

Søren smiled and finished his beer.

"I knew I could trust you. And I don't know if they really care. It's the truth."

He ordered his third beer.

"Safe and happy, that's Danmark! We got voted for the happiest people in the world a few years ago, or something like that. And the inspectors, they sure are a little dumb. They come every other tuesday in those uniforms of theirs. Easy to avoid. They do make surprise rounds, though, but rarely."

Søren took a swig of his beer, and smiled in a satisfied manner.

Hendrik just nodded " danks and ja I agree with u " he took a big swig from his beer.

He chuckled at Søren " ah sounds like het is very fun ...niet ja? " he smiled as he could hear the pride in the danish man's voice " happiest place on earth u say? i believe het if zij are like u " he took another swig from his beer.

Søren took a swig of his beer and smiled proudly.

"Danmark sure is the happiest place I've ever been! People smile and greet you on the street. I just love it! And yeah, I guess there are a lot of people like me, though we have our share of the sour ones, I'm afraid. But lucky for us, they're usually officials. Everybody's helpful and there's always good beer at hand! But I bet the Netherlands is a happy country? Least you seem to be happy, happier than when we met."

Hendrik took a swig from his beer and returned the smile.

" ja I totally believe u dat het is the happiest place " he chuckled " ja Nederland is a very happy place aan, people are very helpful het makes me proud " he smiled and took a swig from his beer " u dink I do? heh niemand has ever said dat about me before " his smiled faltered for a moment but was placed back on his face " but dat het alright I don't mind "

"Happy to hear that! And it's always good to be proud of your own country. Okay, maybe not America, but you know, decent countries. No offence to any Americans, I know a few, and they're good guys. But most of them are just plain stupid."

Søren took a long swig of his beer and grinned at Hendrik.

"But it's true! When we met, I was afraid I couldn't make you smile, but now I don't think I could make you stop smiling. And I like you better smiling anyway."

Søren took another swig of beer to hide the blush sneaking onto his cheeks.

Hendrik nodded in agreement "ja I agree with u daar most are stom het is rather embarrassing ja "

He took another swig from his beer.

Hendrik blushed in embarrassment " j..ja dank u Søren dat makes me happy " he took another long swig from his beer

"It's just lucky I don't run into them too often! Sometimes it's just too much to deal with them, but a beer or two always helps." Søren laughed, and took a swig of his beer, "This stuff cures just about anything!"

He looked at Hendrik and smiled. Least he wasn't the only one blushing at the moment, though he did wonder. He didn't blush too easily, but yet he felt himself blush again.

"Glad to make you happy! Seeing people smile is one of the joys of my life. And smiling of course. People say my smile is infecting, but I don't know about that, though people do seem happier around me. Maybe it's the beer?" He laughed again.

" ja bier does help a lot with dat sort of ding" he nodded his agreement " het truly does cure alles "

Hendrik returned the smile his blush still dusted across his cheeks and nose.

" niets ur smiling is infecting u know I am niet use aan smiling so much zelf but het is good ja? " he took a swig of his beer " niets het is neit the bier het is just u "

"Beer cures everything from heartaches to pains in the ass. It's wonderful stuff."

He took another swig of his beer, and looked around. He felt like spreading his smile all around, but soon got back to his beer and date.

"Well, I suppose it is then. It is a very pleasant thought though, being the one to being happiness to people. People are at their best when happy and smiling. They tend to talk more." Soren laughed, "But the talkativeness is caused by the beer, that I'm certain of!"

Hendrik laughed he couldn't help it " haha ja ja u are very right het does "

He finished off his beer as he watched Søren take a look around he let a tiny smile appear on his face it was if he knew what other man wanted to do but said nothing as the danish man turned his attention back to him.

" ja u are right about dat one " he tured to the bartender and ordered another beer, he raised his beer to Søren " I agree with u on dat "

Søren laughed and raised his pint to Hendrik's. "To beer and happiness, skol!" He downed the rest of his beer and ordered a new one, laughing as the bartender rolled his eyes.

"Do you get drunk easily? You still seem to be in your senses, if you know what I mean. I can keep sharp well, but three pints do have some effect!"

" ja aan bier and happyness " he took a large swig from his beer and smiling as he saw the bartender roll his eyes at the danish man.

" nr I don't but I am starting aan feel het " which was true he was starting to feel the light headedness from the beer's he had so far " but het is niets yet " he chuckled

Søren laughed again.

"People say beer makes me laugh more and lose my selfcontrol, but I laugh a lot all the time and I doubt I have much selfcontrol anyway." he laughed again, "But I never regret drinking too much, 'cause it's impossible to drink too much!"
