Week 3: Natalya/Lilli

Natalya swung her fight lightly from a small wooden bench in front of the shopping center. As she wasted time, her deep blue eyes scanned for a clock. Once she spied one she winced and begged time to move faster. No, Lilli wasn't late, Natalya was just too early. She had been waiting for ten minutes now, meandering about in front of the shopping center, hoping that perhaps Lilli would show up extra early just as she had. This wasn't the case, but she didn't mind. A small smile slipped onto her face as she waited patiently, thinking about the adorable little girl she was meeting.

Natalya considered Lilli to be a good friend and often enjoyed her company when they were together. Not to mention that Lilli was almost too cute to bare. What would happen today? She couldn't say for sure, but excitement bubbled and floated through her like butterflies. She glanced to the clock again, begging the minute hand to click by faster to no avail.

The short blond walked with a slight bounce up to the front of the supercenter, excited about what the day was to hold. She was going out for a "pow wow with a friend", As her older brother put it. She was about two minutes late, due to a very greatfull brother accidentally dropping her off at the wrong enterence. She loved him too much to correct him, and she was too happy that he was willing to give her a ride in the first place. Lilli Absent mindedly thought about how the day will go, when she spoted the recognizable dark blue ribbon on blond. She finished the small walk and tapped the young woman on the shoulder.

"Natalya? I didn't make you wait too long, did I?" She asked in a light voice.

Deep blue eyes glanced up to someone tapping her shoulder. She greeted the short blonde with an enthusiastic smile. "Lilli~! Nyet.. I have not been waiting long." Lie. How could she tell the adorable little girl how long she had been waiting? So, she told a small white lie, slipping her hand into Lilli's own small appendage. "Shall we go in, da?~" She asked rhetorically, fingers laced with Lilli's as she began to tug the little girl inside.

"Ah, vhat vould you like to shop for, Lilli? Perhaps a new ribbon?" Natalya asked with a light, teasing pull to the piece of material in question tied into the short, blonde hair. A soft blush hit her cheeks at how adorable Lilli would look in most anything. Lilli was a very pretty girl. When Natalya thought of herself, she was much less enthusiastic. She did not always feel so pretty and perhaps she was too old to be considered adorable anymore. With a nostalgic, silent sigh she glanced down to the little girl who seemed to bounce next to her.

"Oh! A new ribbon? That would be lovely! Maybe we could get matching ones?" Lilli asked all too wilingly as they walked/bounced towards the enterance. She tightened her grip on the Belarusian's hand as she opened the glass door for the both of them. The short blond was all too eager for this date to start, her mind drifting off to images of them in different stores, trying on different clothes, shoes, eating the not-so-healthy mall food. Her imaganation was cut short when Natalya gave her hand a squeeze and lightly tugged her down one of the hallways.

The young girl's enthusiam refueled Natalya's own. She let out a soft giggle. "Matching ribbons would be very adorable! Da!" She slipped past the glass doors and immediately began to guide them down the different halls and shops. Spying the one she was searching for, Natalya pulled Lilli into the лента Accessories store. "Ah, this is the best place for things like that!" She said, matter-of-factly as they ventured into the store.

Natalya let Lilli's hand slip from hers as she began to look at different accessories along walls and displayed prominently throughout the store, but always made sure to hover close by to the adorable girl, willing to look and try anything on that the young girl asked of her. How could she say no?

The two girls eagerly walked into the first store, taking thier sepparate ways to cover more ground. They wove through the different racks and shelves, looking for various items. As they moved deeper into the store, Lilli found a round-a-bout with different coloured fabrics. She instantly spoted a white and navy blue strip about the width of her hairband. She skipped over to the section and grabbed the spool of white/blue and the one to it's left, and went to find Natalya.

Natalya had been glancing around the hair clips section, figuring it would be nice if she got a little something for her sister when she heard the sound of excited, small footsteps. Her blue eyes turned to meet eager ones of green, proudly displaying a ribbon that was white and navy striped. Natalya smiled fondly at the ribbon. "What a pretty ribbon! You have an excellent eye, Lilli." She added with a cute giggle as she examined the spool before her. "This is the matching material you want for us, da?" She asked as she headed towards the register to have the material cut. Her hand slipped gently back into Lilli's.

Lilli gratefully took her hand as they walked up to the counter, glancing around the store to see if anything might match. Her eyes cought something, but her train of sight was distraught as the two turned to face the counter.

I'll get her it, considering she's buying me the ribbon. She thought as the Belarusian paid.

As soon as Natalya had the small bag, the small girl tugged on their clasped hands and began to walk in the direction of the the isle she saw the matching colours.

As Natalya purchased the fabric she glanced around the rest of the store. She figured she would let Lilli pick what they do next. She was happy to do whatever the little darling requested of her. The cashier handed her the small bag and she suddenly felt a gentle, but anxious tugging on her hand. "Da?" She asked, bright-eyed and curious as to what Lilli seemed so set to show her. She followed patiently behind the little girl, glancing around the rest of the store so as to not ruin the surprise that Lilli seemed to have waiting for her.

Lilli eagerly walked (skipped) to the stand with the multi colour bows, all the while holding the Belarussian's hand. She stood in front of the arrangement and picked up the bow that cought her eye a while ago, handing to Natalya. "Now we can match!" Her high piched voice rejoyced.

Natalya beamed at the bow that Lilli handed to her. "Vonderful, Lilli! Simply, vonderful.." She smiled, stroking her hand through the adorable girl's hair. "Ah, Lilli, I vish that I could have you as a little sister.. Your brother is so lucky." She chuckled, shaking her head. "I mean, I do care for Kat and I love Vanya.. but I have the most fun vith you."

The young blond beamed with happieness as she looked up Natalya, her cheeks a light pink. They walked back to the register and payed for the maching bow, Lilli playing with the end of her dress untill she heard the old fassioned "bing" of the register. The two held hans as they walked out of the store, not a word between the two, but the silence wasn't brooding, it was kind of nice. Lilli really didn't know quite how to tell her companion how she felt about her; She simply adored her and would do anything she would ask. Just Natalya saying she wanted her to be her younger sister made her heart soar! Now, she just had to find a way to tell her. She woundered aimlesly what her size was, then maybe she could make her something!

As they exited the small store, Natalya and Lilli walked hand in hand in a comfortable silence. Natalya was so happy that she and Lilli had made plans to spend time together. A few minutes passed before Natalya spoke again, stopping to look down at Lilli with a smile. "So, vhere vould you like to go now, Lilli?" She would do anything the little girl asked of her, adoring her so much.

The small paused at the question and looked around for a second, thinking of an idea. The two were in a hallway next to the food court, a small cookie stand to their left and a flower shop to the right. The beautiful variations of boques in the windows destracted her for a few moments from from her thoughts and quickly comes up with an idea, realizing Natalya was still waiting for an answer. "F-flower picking! Picking flowers would be fun, I haven't done that in a few years... Would you like to?" Her question ended in a light voice and her cheeks redened lighlty as she finished, looking up and her companion with a soft smile.
