Ludwig's and Roderich's Room

"I'll try to do the same. I just meant, after a while of living together, sleeping together, we might decide to be more than friends with benefits. That's all. But I think that's something for time to decide later."

He smiled and began to settle beside him. "I guess you'll want me to move back to my bed."

There was something intimate about sleeping, really sleeping with someone else.

'...Indeed.' Roderich blushed slightly at the thought. It had crossed his mind, but he was reluctant to even think about it so soon. Still, it wasn't as if it would be a bad thing. 'Ah, well, one thing at a time.'

He chuckled quietly. 'Not at all, if you'd rather stay where you are.' He reached for the blankets, pulling them over himself and hesitating before covering Ludwig too. 'Assuming you do want to stay here, I mean.'

Ludwig helped him pull the blankets up over himself as well. He knew this was strange and wrong to happen so quickly, but he was willing to take the risk and settle to sleep beside his new roommate and... well, friend.

He smiled over at Roderich and settled to sleep. He hoped that this would work out, one way or another.

Roderich lay quietly for a while, watching his bed partner fall asleep through half-lidded eyes. He thought carefully about what they'd done, what they could do, what would happen in the morning- but eventually he decided that he was happy, and that was all that mattered right now.

He laughed, so softly he barely heard it himself, and closed his eyes.

Ludwig closed his eyes and smiled. He quickly settled to sleep and relaxed beside the still-nude body of his roommate.

He tried not to question where things were going and just enjoy it for now.

Roderich opened an eye, still half-asleep and not entirely sure of where he was. He winced at the light hitting his eyes- had he forgotten to close the blinds?- and retreated under the blankets, shifting closer to the warm body beside him...

...Wait.

Roderich blinked. It took him almost a minute to realise that it was Ludwig, and another to remember the previous night. After a brief moment of panic, he relaxed again, smiling in spite of himself; Ludwig was still asleep, breathing even and face quite serene.

Still half asleep, Ludwig wrapped his arm around the other teen and shifted closer. He was still waking, remembering what had happened the night before. Of all of the thoughts that could have struck his head, it was the surprise that he seemed to be a cuddler, despite sleeping along all of his life.

His eyes opened slowly and he stretched his long legs. "Good morning." He looked at the violet eyes cautiously, making sure he saw no regret in them.

Roderich nodded, still half-concealed beneath the blankets, and hesitantly cuddled closer. 'Guten Morgen.'

He wasn't quite up to saying much else yet- he wasn't a morning person- but he watched Ludwig anxiously for a response. It would be mortifying to find out Ludwig was having second thoughts while naked in bed with him.

Ludwig smiled softly, thankful he wasn't seeing any real doubt. At least, he didn't think so. Roderich looked uncertain, but Ludwig didn't think he saw regret.

"So... should we head to the cafeteria for breakfast? We could always head to town again if you'd rather."

He didn't entirely want to move from the bed, but they'd said uncomplicated. Having a morning cuddle felt like it could be complicated.

'Ah...well...' Roderich looked carefully at the ceiling. 'We could, but it seems pretty early still. Early for me, anyway.' He briefly lamented leaving home, and his all-day lie-ins.

He didn't want to make things uncomfortable, and he was too embarrassed to say anything, but he would have preferred to remain there for a while. Apart from anything else, he was comfortable.

Ludwig smiled and settled back on the pillow. "Okay," he said, "I think we can wait for a while. Classes will be starting soon and we'll have to start going to those."

He glanced at Roderich. "Do you want me to move back over to my bed?"

Roderich looked at Ludwig from the corner of his eye. 'No, no, you're fine where you are. Unless you want to move. I mean, that's fine too. ...Um.' Well, that was articulate.

Roderich resisted the urge to slap his hand to his forehead, instead opting to hide under the sheets, only his single unruly hair poking out.

Ludwig chuckled and peeked beneath the sheet. "Are you okay under there?" he asked as he looked at Roderich, smiling a bit as he saw the other teen trying to hide.

"So did uncomplicated go out of the window when we both woke up?" he asked, still smiling so the other knew he was still kidding.

His hand moved over to the other teen's hair, toying with the rebellious strand.

Blushing, and inwardly cursing himself for it, Roderich forced himself to meet Ludwig's eyes. He honestly still didn't know exactly what he wanted, or how he felt, but he had a vague and troubling idea that yes, uncomplicated had gone out the window.

'I...don't know. How do you feel now, in the cold light of day?' Hopefully not filled with regret. Roderich hoped he could take Ludwig's smile and the hand playing with his hair as good signs.

"I'm okay with it. It was a little fast, but okay." He kissed him lightly on the cheek. "I just... don't know how well I'll do with friends with benefits. Because I do like you,"

He settled back beside him and wrapped an arm around Roderich's waist. "But I'm willing to try that if that's what you'd rather, for now at least."

He knew he'd become too attached easily. He already was.

'Well...' Roderich moved closer, his hand gently stroking Ludwig's cheek. 'It would be the more sensible option...'

Truthfully, he didn't feel particularly sensible, especially not while he was so close to the other man. He felt he ought to be the sensible one, though; Ludwig hadn't done this before, after all.

'But...maybe as we spend more time together, we'll come to some kind of decision. I still think you need to meet more people before you, well...' He shifted uncertainly. 'Before you get too serious about anyone.'

Ludwig nodded. "I suppose so," he said. "Though I don't know if I've ever connected with anyone like this before." He smiled. "But I suppose we can hold off judgment for now, if we need to."

He really liked this man quite a bit and the idea of being with him as more than just friends had some positive points to it.

He settled beside him. The idea of having a boyfriend had some merit, but Roderich was right it could have some hazards so early into their school career.

Roderich remained silent, looking thoughtfullly down at the sheets while his hand automatically moved up to Ludwig's hair. That he was comfortable enough to touch him so easily was a sign he was getting attached in itself.

'If you like...well, we could always go on a date.' He blushed, but continued regardless. 'I mean, we'll obviously see plenty of each other anyway, but if you wanted to try that out...I suppose that would be a lesson, too, wouldn't it?'

If it really was worth pursuing a relationship, all well and good; if not, they'd just be friends going out together. Despite Roderich's unease with the idea of getting romantically involved so quickly, he had to admit to himself that it was tempting.

Ludwig smiled warmly. "I think I'd like that. We don't have to right away. We could just go and hang out, maybe at that pub where my brother is at, see if we'd like for it to be a real date or not."

He kissed lightly at the teen's neck. "I have a suspicion that we might." He knew he would. He just wanted to be sure that it had nothing to do with their recent interaction. That he would have wanted to date him regardless of what they'd done the night before.

'Mmhm...' Roderich replied vaguely, now more interested in nuzzling against Ludwig. He kissed him softly, before pulling back and giving him a faint smile. 'Yes, you may be right. And I wonder what your brother would say. He seemed to have a suspicion about us.'

Thinking back, maybe it had been obvious they were attracted to one another. That was a strange thought- that people might have been speculating at that gentlemen's thing the previous day.

Ludwig frowned. "As long as he lets me tell mom before he does, I'll be fine with it."

He paused and thought for a moment. "If your suspicions about him were right, though, I don't know if he'll mind all that much, except that he was flirting with you a bit at the Gentlemen's Club."

He wondered just how much experience his brother had in that area. if Ludwig's own surpassed him, he imagined his brother wouldn't like it much.

'Flirting...? I suppose...' Roderich blushed- yet again- as he thought about it. Gilbert had indeed made him feel...exposed, like he was being scrutinised. The man was quite a mystery.

'Well, anyway, do you want to get up? Tempting as it is to lie here with you, I suppose we should drag ourselves out eventually.' Roderich pushed all thoughts of Ludwig's brother aside, sitting up and half-heartedly pushing his hair back.

Ludwig sat up and kissed him on the neck. "I suppose we should. So what do you want to do for food?"

He kissed him again and let his hand roam over the other man's back. His fingers traced over the young man's spine. "What are you in the mood for, as far as food?"

He kissed over the brunet's chest, enjoying being able to be this close to him.

'What am I in the mood for...?' Roderich laughed quietly, watching Ludwig trail kisses over his chest. 'Keep that up, and it'll be something other than food. But to eat...I'm not sure, but I could use some tea.'

He stroked Ludwig's hair fondly, his other hand lightly tracing the muscles in the other man's arm.

Ludwig pulled back and smiled. "Okay. Why don't we stop off at the cafeteria? We might be able to even head to the town again later. You know, for some job searching, maybe purchase some supplies like we talked about last night." He kissed him on the lips softly before climbing from the bed. He decided not to be self conscious about his body, considering what he'd done.

He gathered his clothes from the floor and walked over to his closet to find something to wear.
